Dried Calendula smells like warmth in the air. It makes one think of these golden moments of summer walking on a dirt path with herbal bushes surrounding it… 🌞

This simple balm is soothing for dry, irritated or sensitive skin. It can be used on the body, the face and lips. It's a favourite on the face in the colder more windy seasons, like autumn and winter as it protects and repairs the skin. It is a natural anti-aging, improving collagen levels, reducing dryness and scars.

Calendula infused oil and balm is the best choice for babies and for young children for example for rashes. It is very safe for them and nourishes their sensitive skin gently.

“In search for a balm for the heart, the mind, a sensitive limb or cracked lips. I find soothing in the reassuring voices of friends, in the garden, in art and music, in bird song, and in a cat stretching, in reading a book and sharing home cooked food, in seeing someone on the street smiling within themself.  Then there is the soothing quality of physically applying something on the skin, to heal and protect it.

Balms, salves and ointments were generally used to treat common skin, scalp, and hair problems and can be seen as precursors to the over-the-counter skin care and first-aid ointments in use today. Many salves in the shops unfortunately have a base of petrolatum, or petroleum jelly. The balm I make is very simple it combines lots of organic flowers with olive oil and a little bit of local beeswax. Calendula balm is a classic for dry skin, babies and children, to soothe skin irritation or simply to protect the face against cold and wind.”
